Our Day Care Facility
In today's world, you may not have the time you would like to spend with your dog. Dogs are naturally social animals and they crave companionship. Or, perhaps your dog is young and full of energy. We have a saying in this business: "tired dogs are good dogs!" Day care is the perfect solution. A day here and there for a young energetic dog can do wonders for good behavior at home. When I had a dinner party on a Saturday night, I used to take my dog Deogi to day care all day on Saturday while I prepared for my guests. When my guests arrived, Deogi was sleeping like an angel.

• Our indoor facility with all the comforts of heating and air conditioning.
• Our outdoor potty area is completely fenced in and is sanitized daily with a unique system that does not use chemicals.
• Our state-of-the-art rubber flooring reduces the risk of your dog slipping which can cause hip problems later in life.
• Our day care is limited to only ten dogs at a time. All dogs accepted into day care must be well-socialized and must adhere to firm acceptance guidelines. See "Day Care Requirements" below for more information.
• We have a "High Energy Room" for dogs that are energetic and a "Low Energy Room" for when your dog needs to take a break and rest.
• Our day care staff is educated and experienced to read a dog's body language and how to communicate effectively with your dog in a positive, professional manner.
• Each dog is walked by an experienced handler within our 3.5 acre fenced in property. This really helps a dog get grounded and stay in a healthy state of mind.

Day Care Requirements

• Your dog must be spay or neutered – a copy of certification is required.
• Vaccinations must be up to date with a copy showing date administered and expiration dates for DHLPP (Titer test acceptable); and Bordetella given every 6 months..
• Your dog must be well-socialized. If your dog has gone to our Puppy Socialization Classes then we know this to be true. For all other dogs, we will need to either know your dog and have seen them play with other dogs or you will need to call for pre-screening and to schedule an appointment to have your dog evaluated with other dogs. Our evaluation is a two hour process and is free. It is on a first-come, first serve basis. We have the right to refuse services to any dog for any reason. You may leave your dog with us during this time and stay close in the area.  If you dog is not having a good time, you may be called to come pick up your dog before the two hour timeframe allowed. If an evaluation is not convenient, you may opt to bring in a ten minute video of your dog playing with other dogs (a minimum of five) – this can be done at your local dog park, for example.
• Your dog needs to have fun. If we feel your dog is stressed or would prefer to be home, we will let you know and advise accordingly. Full refunds will be given for any prepayment of services for day care.
• If other dogs are stressed or not having fun due to your dog's behavior, your dog will not be asked back to day care. Full refunds will be given for any prepayment of services for day care.
• Dog Biscuit Treats will be given throughout the day to dogs without food allergies. Please remember to feed your dog its meal before coming to Day Care if he normally gets fed breakfast.
• No toys or bedding, please.
• Dogs must be picked up prior to closing at 6:00 p.m. If you are running late, we will grant a grace period of fifteen minutes only. After that time your dog will be transported to Dog's Inn – an exclusive boarding kennel located ten miles east of Cool Dog Training, Inc. Safety and comfort is always priority for your pet – and as such will have a fee associated with making sure your dog gets the very best. You will not be able to pick up your dog that evening. You must wait and schedule a time with Dog's Inn for pick up the next day. You will be charged by Dog's Inn for the stay in additional to a transportation fee of $100. This is very costly and meant for emergencies only. Please pick up your dog from Day Care on time or arrange someone else to do it for you.
• Please print, sign, and bring in these three forms along with a copy of your dog's vaccination records: Information on Your Pet Form, Pick Up Release Form and Hold Harmless Form.
